What is the role?

  • Management of the NPD process for our customers from concept to sample approval, working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Generation and management of the CPA from initial brief through to handover to the Project Management Team including analysing and mitigating risk both.
  • Liasing with the technical teams on formulation development as per the customers brief and communicating any challenges to the customer clearly and concisely.
  • Developing packaging briefs based on the customers’ brief considering cost, lead time and suitability.
  • Working closely with the packaging team on pack sourcing, feasibility, and testing requirements.
  • Liaising cross functionally to ensure all key stakeholders are aware of the status of a project and recognize potential risks which may impact the CPA.
  • Organising and attending weekly/fortnightly/monthly customer meetings to update on current developments, discuss sampling feedback and packaging requirements.
  • Responsible for generating Product Dossiers for all new developments.
  • Presenting innovative trends and product ideas to customers to ensure the NPD pipeline is evolving.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a similar role within the beauty industry, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the CPA process including generating new CPA’s and risk analysis.
  • The ability to confidently communicate with customers and internal teams at Director/Founder level.
  • Exceptionally organised with the ability to manage multiple fast paced projects maintaining quality and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong collaborator with excellent people and communication skills both verbally, including presenting internally/externally, and written.
  • Commercially aware understanding NPD’s role in the Sales function, to ensure all developments are commercially viable.

Ability to commute / relocate:
This role is based at our Waterlooville site, however travel to the Petworth site may be necessary.
